Included in the price for drivers aged 25–65, with a €500 excess per incident.
€500 Excess: The most you pay per incident for covered damage.

- Tire Protection: Punctures or rim damage not covered.
- Windshield & Glass: Windows/mirrors not covered.

Platinum (Upgrade)
BEST VALUE€19 per day, drivers aged 25–65. Platinum cover (€0 excess, windscreen and tyres included) never costs more than €200 per rental.
€0 Excess: For one incident per rental. After it, further damage on the same rental falls under Shield Plus terms; an incident where the police report finds another party at fault does not count.

Coverage Terms:
- Young or Senior Cover: €19 per day, capped at €500 per rental, charged once per rental however many drivers on the booking are in these age bands; replaces Shield Plus for those drivers: damage to the car’s body and theft.
- Per Driver: If only an additional driver is in these age bands, the main driver keeps Shield Plus or Platinum; the excess of the driver at the wheel applies.
- Roadside Assistance: Available 24/7 on request, charged at cost.
- €900 Excess: The most you pay per incident for covered damage.
- Exclusions: Tires, glass and undercarriage are not covered; Platinum is not available for these ages.
Car rental insurance Cyprus: the overview
At QCar Rentals, your safety and comfort are our top priorities. We offer two cover packages for drivers aged 25–65 — Shield Plus, included in every rental price, and the Platinum upgrade — plus the Young or Senior cover for drivers aged 21–24 and 66–75. No package needs a deposit.
For every package: report any incident to us immediately. Cover is void for driving under the influence, serious traffic violations, off-road or unpaved roads, drivers not listed on the check-out form, and anywhere in the northern part of Cyprus. Interior damage, keys, wrong fuel, personal belongings and damage caused by negligence are never covered. Full details: Rental Terms & Conditions, section 5.
